On June 12th Cedar Points B&M wing coaster Gaterkeeper had a mechanical issue that caused the chain to break and to coming crashing down on the bottom of the hill. Fortunately no injuries were reported and all riders on the lift hill were safely evacuated. Gatekeeper is currently closed and roped off to the public with no information on when expected to open. Cedar Point and their team are actively on site assessing the ride and situation.
